The Ore Mountains are renowned both as a Czech spa resort and as winter sport resort thanks to the ski slopes and cross-country trails Bozi Dar and Klinovec. Jachymov, sporting the title of the first radon spa in the world since 1906, is the natural gateway to the Ore Mountains. The best ski slopes are on the northern side of the Klinovec Mountain, 10 in number with 11 ski lifts, equipped with flood lights for the experience of evening skiing.
The Ore Mountains in the north-west of Bohemia form a part of the natural border between the Czech Republic and Germany.
