The Beskydy physiotherapy centre was established in mid 2000 as a successful project which adapted the hospital Celadna for this purpose. The hospital at Celadna in the past was associated with the spa Skalka and this is the very tradition that the Beskydy physiotherapy centre is building on. The Skalka spa was founded in 1902 and used to be a much-sought after spa thanks to its excellent climate. The Beskydy physiotherapy centre is a new type of institution which combines the state of the art hospital facilities with the advantages provided by a spa.
The hospital has maintained its high professional standard including JIP, quality diagnostic facilities, laboratories, X-rays, an ergometre, ultra-sound scans and other diagnostic methods. Visitors to the spa may enjoy the health-giving location set in a wooded park, the excellent climatic conditions, Ferdinand’s spring, a comprehensive physiotherapy programme and above all an emphasis on an individual approach in caring for the patients. The spa caters for resident patients as well as out- patients.
